A vending machine is a food establishment which is a self-service device that, upon insertion of a coin, paper currency, token, card or key, dispenses unit servings of food in bulk or in packages without the necessity of replenishing the device between each vending operation. (Iowa Code section 137F.1)

There is no fee for information. Licensing fees are based on the number of machines-the first machine is $20.00, additional machines are $5.00 per machine.
