Test of Scott County’s Wireless Emergency Alert System on December 30, 2023, at 01:00 PM. The Scott County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will conduct a targeted, one-mile radius TEST of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system for cell phones in unincorporated Scott County, near 240th Street and 230th Avenue, (approximately 1.25 miles south of Lost Grove Lake). With the upcoming winter storm, road conditions in Scott County could vary widely and vary depending upon the storm’s track & timing. Road conditions in some locations could be EXTREMELY treacherous and hazardous, especially in the rural areas of Scott County. The Scott County Emergency Management Agency, Scott County Sheriff’s Office and the Scott County Secondary Roads recommend residents to avoid travel and outdoor activity when possible.
