If Scott County Sheriff’s Office was the investigating agency on an auto accident, reports will be available online or from the Sheriff's Office.
Crash reports are available within 5-7 business days after incident on crashdocs.org. Simply search for the report online, make the payment, and receive a copy that can be printed or saved. No need to travel to the courthouse, waiting in line or postage.
Paper copies of the reports are available upon request in person, or by mail to the parties involved in the accident or incident. No faxed requests will be accepted. Mailed requests require a self-addressed stamped envelope for return.
Payment should be made either in cash or check payable to Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
Requests made by the armed forces can be faxed directly to us or the local recruiter can bring them to our office.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office can provide a criminal background check for the Scott County Sheriff's Office only. It does not include juvenile records, traffic records (which may be obtained from the Iowa Department of Transportation) nor any other agency.
