On May 3rd, 2016 at approximately 12:58 a.m. , a 64 year old Long Grove resident identified as Ardell Oster Jr called 911 and advised that he had been stabbed by his wife. Oster advised that he had woke up to his wife Patricia Oster stabbing him.

As a result if the initial investigation, the following arrest was made in the incident:

Person arrested: Patricia Jean Oster, age 63, a Long Grove resident

Charge: Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony

Bond: $25,000.00 cash only bond

Ardell Oster Jr has been admitted to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The incident remains under investigation. No further information is being released at this time.
