Meet the Team

The Scott County Human Resources Department consists of five team members and while we all have areas of responsibility, each of us would be happy to help you in any area where you may need assistance.

Vanessa Wierman

Human Resources Director
The HR Director assists the County Administrator in the overall development and administration of County policies and programs. Areas of expertise and supervision include recruitment, employment, EEO, wage and salary administration, labor relations, employee development, benefits and organizational development. Areas of responsibility also include interpreting and applying established County policies or statutory requirements. Acts as Chief Negotiator for the County in collective bargaining with five (5) bargaining units. The HR Director is the Scott County ADA Coordinator.

 

Andrea Ahmann

Senior Human Resources Generalist
Responsibilities include recruitment and selection; employment; EEO; wage and salary administration; unemployment and maintenance of the County's HRIS system. Primary functions of the position include coordination and administration of hiring and promotional activities; assists in negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements; provides guidance on policy and contract interpretation to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees.

 

Kelley Grevas

Human Resources Generalist
Coordinates training and development of County staff; assists in negotiation and administration of collective bargaining agreements; performs organizational and classification studies; writes and updates job descriptions for compliance; researches and drafts policy and procedure recommendations; provides guidance on policy and contract interpretation to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees; and performance management system coordination.

 

Renee Luze-Johnson

Human Resources Generalist
Responsibilities include administration of employee benefits with employees and vendors; problem solving with insurance companies and vendors; reconciles complex monthly insurance billings; providing guidance on policy and contract interpretation to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees leads employee committees such as recognition, wellness and health benefit in their activities and coordinating the County's PRIDE recognition activities.

 

Jen Stinocher

Senior Office Assistant
Provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department. Primary functions include: respond to employee and applicant inquiries, maintain records and filing systems, support the county's wellness and employee recognition activities; accounts payable for HR; payroll; assisting with departmental recruitment efforts; and preparing minutes for meetings.
