Boathouse Rules:

  • All state boating regulations apply
  • Watercrafts must be returned by 6:45 pm
  • A photo ID is required to rent all watercraft
  • Watercrafts cannot be reserved in advance; renting is first-come, first-served
  • Must be age 16 or older to rent non-motorized watercraft; 18 or older for motorized watercraft
  • Life jackets must be on board for each person
  • Maximum boat capacity is Coast Guard regulated (all persons aboard count)
  • Fishing permitted from fishing boats and mini pontoons only
  • Keep away from all swimming areas, spillways, and control structures
  • Loading, unloading, or any docking MUST be done at the boathouse dock only
  • Watercrafts will not be available to rent during periods of high wind, which makes watercraft use hazardous

In addition to the rules and regulations, all state laws apply to conduct in county areas.

Any violation of the rules can result in the denial of park privileges. The state conservation code gives county conservation officers the right to deny park privileges in county parks.
