Information received on July 24, 1980 from Zella Steffen, 1534 Northlawn Rd., Davenport, Iowa 52804: A Mr. Kolwey, having just recently purchased 2 1/2 acres of land situated in the W 1/2 of Section 31, T. 80 N. R. 2 E. of the 5th P.M., Allens Grove Township, came upon a marble slab in the process of tearing down an outbuilding which had the following inscription on it: Hier Ruht CLAUS STEFFEN Geb 27 Jan 1839 Geb 11 Dec 1879
